For antiques, crafts and for an escape from the city, they go to El Hatillo

Caraqueños vacation at the beach. But they also go to this german town nearby -- Colonia Tovar. It's also known for strawberry fields, wild blackberries and all of the such!

Great pictures!
Thanks for showing this wonderful city

By the way, those two pictures remind me of Seoul in asia
very dense buildings with background mountains.

Allow me to post Seoul jung-gu(old downtown) please,
It's just for comparison how two cities look similar. :)

This orchid is the national flower of Venezuela. :)

Yah I'm impressed that Seoul and Caracas looks similar from the distance although Caracas is greener. I am sure it is because Seoul is up farther in the north while Caracas is more tropical (with weather of mid60s to mid80s all year round). But wow, they look so similar. :) Just because of that, I have high respect for the Koreans! ;-)

:|^^ why the surprise? Most of capitols and big cities in Latin America are beautiful places, Caracas wouldn´t be different. Venezuela is one of the "brothers" of Brazil.

Great pics, greetings :eek:kay:
