Lovely town in Costa Rica, I would enjoy strolling around for an afternoon
Cartago, Costa Rica
I was in Cartago for a couple hours while visiting Costa Rica back at the end of May. There aren't enough pictures for a detailed photothread of the city, since the Cartago urban area has a population of around 150,000.
Cartago is about 24 km/15 miles ESE of central San Jose, and is at the base of Irazu Volcano. Cartago was the capital of Costa Rica from 1574 to 1824.
