One of the big things about the casinos in the Las Vegas area is the theme of each casino.

Which theme do you like the most? Which theme for defunct or demolished casinos was best? What architectural elements of a certain theme do you like? What theme do you think Las Vegas should have that hasn't been tried before? What do you think about the similarities and differences of the Western themes and desert themes? What else to you like or dislike about the themes?

I liked the north African theme that the Sahara had. Even though the casino was dated by the time I visited it in 2004 and 2005, the theme still was a nice match with the desert climate, but included the exoticness of a foreign place. I thought the theme was portrayed better than the Aladdin was, having a similar north African theme. The only downside to the Sahara was the Nascar rollercoaster. That was from way out in left field.

I wish there were a Western-themed casino on the Strip. Sams Town and Buffalo Bill resorts look great, but they are too far from everything

Also, it would be great to have a British-themed casino in LV. There were already some attemps but they did not come to fruition.

Macao is going to have The Londoner. Why not Las Vegas?

Isn't Resorts World going to be at least partially London-themed? The construction advertising outside seemed to indicate so.

The ads on the wall show the other locations where Genting also has resorts: London, Bahamas, Malaysia...
I see. I thought I had heard of a London-themed casino about 10 years ago, and I thought the Echelon property was where it was going as well. I must have my projects confused.

Was just visiting last week and thought that there should be a new Theme resort along the lines of Moscow on the strip. Main entry could be modeled after St Basils Cathedral and throw it down on the south end where the failed wheel was going to go. Not sure what a good name would be though

A Russian theme would be cool. I wonder if having a place of worship as the centerpiece would be insensitive. But then again, what other Russian building is there as the centerpiece?
