Metro Pacific Group eyes January start for construction of expressway linking C5, Cavitex
MANILA - The operator of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) plans to start construction of the P8 billion C5 Link Expressway Project by January next year.

"The C5 Link project is actually being discussed at the board level of PRA, which is our partner. They have to agree that this is an investment that is feasible. After it is approved in PRA, we will go to TRB to present the project," Cavitex Infrastructure Corp president Jose Luigi Bautista told reporters last week.

Not sure if this is close to the proposed alignment of C5 - CAVITEX link.

^^ They should take into consideration the potential runway expansion in NAIA

Are they going to shut down the old Villar C5 alignment?
^^Yup, maybe the expressway ROW will just be near the airport boundaries but wont be get to the airport lot limits.. I dont know but maybe part of clearance procedure for this will involve CAAP.. just guessing..
Mahirap na yung old alignment gawa sa expansion works na gagawin sa 06-24.
is the thread dead?
Its ok its holloween anyway

would it not be dangerous to have C5 so near and parallel to the runway and a plane might try to land there by mistake?

Ask the squatters who live right beside the airport fence. But seriously pilots will use ILS. It's very accurate. Just in case navigation systems break down at NAIA, I think C5 will easily be distinguishable from the runway visually.

Highly unlikely in my personal opinion

Impossible for C5 road.

Although, for commonwealth avenue in QC, thats another story.

I heard it was a different road connecting to SLEX... sorry to sound like an idiot but can anyone brief me about this... been back reading this thread but did not see any info on my question. thanks

update
^^ That project better include a flyover over SLEX and a trumpet interchange in CAVITEX. I've noticed that the Bicutan and Sucat exits are always in traffic so it might relieve the traffic there once this is finished.
