This coming July 1st marks the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. To celebrate the occasion, I will be bringing a series of old and new photos in this new series.

1. Welcome home.

2. Change is always in the air.

3. Have some tranquility in the middle of the city.

4. A new giant arrives.

5. People are more mindful of life beyond money and materialistic goods.

6. A reminder of what Hong Kong once looked like.

8. Our lives continue regardless of the change in government.

9. The rich are still here.

10. Of course the poor can't go far either.

11. We still need to eat.

12. Hoping the poisonous food from China gets caught at the border.

13. As trade continues with China opening to the world.

14. Back in the 90s, there was even talk that the street names would be changed to suit the new government.

15. Some things don't change.

16. Land is still precious.

17. Yet some people still survive on what made Hong Kong important centuries ago.

18. Our Chinese heritage still sticks strongly.

22. Despite being an international financial centre.

23. Where the East ...

24. ... meets the West.

25. Where nature ...

26. ... meets urbanity.

28. It's time to be more active in civic affairs.

29. As we look towards the future.

30. Home sweet home.

Nice work, hkskyline.

One suggestion, do you have any picture for "Queen's Road E/C/W" or "King's Road" to substitute pic. no. 14? I think it will give that sense of "...talk that the street names would be changed to suit the new government" a lot stronger.
