I was stranded in that city for two weeks, because the road to Tibet, my final destination, was under repairs from a landslide. My stay in Chengdu was most memorable, because I suffered miserably trying to save money and I had to go through a huge storm while doing that. I managed to survive two weeks with only 400 yuan, but I got sick of it so in the last two days I used like 800 -_-;
Anyways, the city is not too dirty nor polluted, and it has a great canal system, along with great sightseeing destinations around the city, such as Emei Shan. Most of all, I think the girls in Chengdu are among the most beautiful in China. And all that great food! The people in general are very nice, and some of them actually let me and my friend, who happend to be complete strangers to them, stay in their homes for a while. We couldn't have suvived without their generous hospitality. Overall, my experience in the city was great, and I would definitely recommend a visit.
