Took the El up to Skokie last week, these shots were from the back window of the Purple then Yellow lines.

I was mainly looking East ( and South ), that evening the light was too low for photos, but I noticed quite a few new buildings to the West of the line.

41) The view from the 3rd floor hallway of the building at the back was always fun, you can't see the tracks, just the train coming at you until at the very last minute it turns in an ear splitting squeal.

65) The only one of the new buildings west of the tracks that I caught, fits in well with the trains.

Nice phototour ;) btw: concrete bridges are better
Can't use one to pull an engine :)

The older steel trusses are perfect for tying your hoist to, and nobody notices oil under the tracks.
