Chicago shopping!

I don't know about a specific Versace store, but certainly Prada, Channel, and I think Fendi. Also, some very exclusive stores only found in the largest cities and wealthiest areas include Hermes (extremely expensive womens purses), Bvlgari, Loro Piana, Barney's, Graff jewelers, as well as countless very trendy boutiques.

More.... specific stores include Emenegildo Zegna, Salvatore Feragamo, Burbery. Also, all of the major department stores are represented. Should I go on?

"Trendy?"

Those aren't trendy. They're just rich.

You find trendy in the small off-beat independent boutiques and stores scattered throughout "hip" areas of Chicago.

Yeah, but its amazing how many women who don't have much money run up huge credit card bills just because they just have to have some Prada shoes or some other overpriced item.

the mag mile has places like that and if you're more of a mall person than the street-walking type, go to northbrook (burbs north of DT) or oakbrook (burbs west of DT) shopping centers

It is simply amazing how many people in Chicago can afford Prada shoes...and have the choice to buy them wear them then throw them away and go back to Prada the next day and buy another pair! Lots of people are jealous of people with money. And in Chicago there are lots and lots of people with tons and tons of money.


Strange....how we don't hear anyone complaining about all the people who overcharge at Walmart...bet you they out number the people at Prada who overcharge their credit cards....classim...like all other issims...is nasty.

are these stores big? like i heard the louis vitton store in chicago is really big it got like three floors or something.

Big would be a matter of opinion. I do indeed shop at those stores, and I think they are large enough. But they are significantly smaller than the one's in NY. For instance, Barneys in chi is 3 floors, and I think 7 or 8 in NY.

I love how so many knock these stores and those with wealth simply because they can't afford to shop at them. Would you rather Chicago have none of these stores on Michigan Ave. and instead be a street filled with Wal-marts, pay less, best buy, and other suburban meccas. Everyone here seems to support the building of these mega buildings that they most likely can't afford to live in but then trash the very people who are supporting this construction boom. So which is it? No wealth in the city and a city filled with no development and no economy or wealth and a great developing city like we have right now?
