A major new sports and leisure campus for the city of Rizhao in Eastern China. The city, one of a core group of locations chosen to promote sports, healthy living, and the development of football in China, has also been selected as one of the hosts for the twenty-fifth Shandong Games due to be held in 2022.

Comprising state-of-the-art facilities for community and elite athlete use, the campus is located across three sites. The full masterplan encompasses a 12,000 capacity stadium, training facilities, an e-sport arena, and hotel/retail developments.

Phew!!! Its mentally a tiring process going through each of these architectural marvels getting built all over China. Unprecedented volume of construction and its not that they are going for quantity over quality here. Each of these project in itself could be a master piece if built in every other county across the Globe. Forget about the rest, if any one of these get built in India, the media and public would have gone bonkers. And I seriously mean it.... Money, resource availability, clout is one thing, but having the prowess to build beautiful stuffs at quick pace is not every Tom, Dick & Harry's cup of tea. I can only marvel at what I have seen in this thread.

Could China end up doing a Turkey? Will this initial wave of football stadiums result in seemingly every city getting their own 20-50,000 rectangular stadium over the next decade? I can't help but feel now that the dam has burst and they are finally starting to build real football stadiums that it will result in far more than what's being planned for the Asian Cup in 2023.
