Has Congo good enough cementfactories for this mass construction?
The Chinese build 2,500,000 homes and the Koreans build 78,000 homes in the DRC? That should be enough to give 9,000,000 persons a good home.
Has Congo good enough cementfactories for this mass construction?
Well We only have 2 Cement Factories to that supply the country. But they are going to rebuild 4 more factories and Build 5 new more factories.

In Total the country supposed to have more than 10 factories to support all these projects.
can anyone give an English translation?

sounds great, indeed!

When will they start?
Sounds interesting, it only says "dans les tout prochain jours", did they declare when they will start?
It's good, a project on this scale will not only provide descent homes for the people, it will also provide millions of jobs, demand for the material providing industries (ex: cement factories), contribute to the GDP ect...

En tout cas, c'est une tres bonne nouvelle pour la RDC. J'espere que ce n'est que le debut.
When will they start?

No Specific date yet. But they have been talking about for 1 year , now.

But my assumptions are , Most likely early 2011. Because they are waiting for Construction of more cement factories, Construction of interprovincial highways . Roads are already being built.
great news :)
Hello everyone.

Well done Congo...I perosnally prefer the building of housing projects than to the high rise buildings. Seeing consistantly modern houses in their cities really shows organization, and puts the country in a good image. I think all countries should do this.
Good job!

Construction of social buildings is good for the industry and other sectors.
Social housing is actually one of the building blocs of a successful and emergent developing economy, one may consider it as the correct route towards a thriving industrialized market- economy along with the simultaneous development of health and education.

31 Hospitals, 185 Clinics are to be built all over the country.

2 new Big Universities ( the country has already more than 50 Univertities and Colleges) But most need to be rehabilited.

First of all Welcome to Skyscarpercity Africa, and skyscrapercity.

I understand your concern. But what i i'm concern about is that millions of people will get decent housing , clean water and Electricity.

However. I would ike to see Congolese build the Houses, but i still don't care if the Chinese do it.

Congolese are business minded people. I know that it's Congolese theselves who will make theselves wealthy, and grow the economy.
