I guess a new incumbent could reverse some of the BE's worst decisions without losing face. Maybe TPE will get full wiring after all!!

Grayling I think will go down as probably the worst SoS for Transport this century.. McLoughlin was far better, although the GWML electrification farce took place on his watch, so he wasn't perfect.

and my main complaint of Darling was his non existent support to the provincial cities when he pulled the tram lines.

No problem with them being pulled due to cost increases, huge problem he did f* all to stop the cost increases and offer alternative funding options as became available much later.
