The title is a little confusing, but I'll explain. Most tourists, and even locals think Manhattan is the city. But there are neighborhoods in other boroughs I like to call cities within the city. This thread will be showcase Williamsburg and Brooklyn Heights in Brooklyn and Long Island City in Queens.

But first would be Long Island City. I'm not that familiar with the area although this is where I spent one year of high school a long time ago

Around Court Square

Glassy buildings everywhere

Residents take pride of their neigborhood and promotes it the best they can

Around Court Square. Not much people on a rainy Wednesday afternoon

You can see the Midtown skyline from almost anywhere

Long Island City courthouse, a NYC designated landmark built in 1874

The 7 train line, an elevated track that runs through LIC. Manicured center islands and designated bike lanes.

Hotels and luxury condos sprouting

Further North in Vernon-Jackson,

Condominiums with the historic Pepsi-Cola sign

Some wall art in the park

Arguably has the best views of Midtown Manhattan. You'd think these seats would be occupied but it was raining

Seats under the trees. Quite relaxing to look at.
