Epping Station looks great. Chatswood should be good when done, but it's a bit of a mess at the moment, with no access from Victoria Mall.

What exactly are they doing with North Sydney station, any plans anywhere?
Hurstville Station is also getting an upgrade as part of the Super Centre Redevelopment (Hurstville Central) which will include an expanded concourse and new ticket offices.

Burwood will be getting an upgrade over the next few years, with the government to put money aside, but nothing in concrete yet.

No mention of upgrades to Mortdale station which is getting easy access upgrades.

Nothing for Strathfield.

:(

Mortdale station upgrade has been completed some months ago. A vast and much needed improvement to what it was.
Havent been through Mortdale in a while so I didn't know if it was done. Nearby Penshurst is also up for an upgrade.
Quakers Hill is sheduled for a new or upgraded station when they duplicate the lines to Vineyard. There was talk of a parking ststaion as well. The station is not large enough and does not have the facilities to cater for the amount of peolpe it services.

It's just too expensive to completely renovate Strathfield. I would expect x2 at least of Parramatta station since it has 8 platforms.
The government will have to bite the bullet one day and spend the money. Hopefully it does not take as long as what central seems to be taking.

I worked in Mortdale a couple of years ago. Would always catch the train there.

The newsagent in the station was run like one in a small town.

No one was in there, you'd basically take what you need and leave your money on the counter.

I'd get there at around 7am and there would be around $30-40 in coins on the counter.

:D
There is heaps of work going on near Clyde workshops too, lots of old track being ripped up, huge massive piles of old timber sleeps have been piled up and land being cleared for who knows what???

That land next to MainTrain (between Auburn and Granville) is to become a new depot which will hold all the new trains that are coming in to replace the old non-airconditioned trains.
whats a "family access toilet"? surely families arent expected to go to the bathroom together?

I remember an old man who ran the bookstall but he closed it a few years ago when he decided he could no longer run it (think it was health reasons).

At Hurstville, part of platforms 3 and 4 have been fenced off for the SuperCentre/Station upgrade :)
platforms 3 and 4 at Hurstville are also closed off from 10am onwards to some time, on many days (or all). but then i have no idea if this has to do with the renovations, as this applies to all of the stations to Arncliffe.
are trains running on platforms 1 and 2 along that stretch of line? Usually that happens so they can undertake maintainence of the tracks with platforms 3 and 4.
I am sure it has been brought up before but I believe restrictions should be lifted to allow for developers to develop around stations and they could offset the cost of the redevelopment. This would cut the cost to the Iemma governement. It is a good way to provide better infrastructure.
