Bosch is taking 74,962 Sq.ft in 4th Floor of Tower-C [New Block] of IndiaLand TechPark @ CHIL SEZ as per MEPZ approval. Already Bosch taken Global TechPark completely of 2.50 Lakh Sq.Ft. So this shows Bosch is making Coimbatore has their "Hub" than Bangalore.

India’s Vice President Venkaiah Naidu today launched the Elyments app – which claims to be India’s first official social media super app. The app has been built by over a thousand IT professionals who are also volunteers of the Art of Living, which is helmed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

“India is an IT powerhouse and we have some of the world’s best-known names in this field. With such a huge pool of talented professionals, I feel there should be many more such innovations coming out in future,” said Vice President Venkaiah Naidu while launching the app.
In the social media world, the app will be competing with the likes of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
The app which is available in eight languages already has over 100,000 downloads on the Google Play Store. Its official statement on the play store says that through the app users can “connect and converse with friends, share updates, network with like-minded people, discover interests, make seamless voice and video calls, and much more.”
The app also says that it has given importance to privacy and all the servers are hosted within India.
“It is aimed at giving a new boost, a quantum jump to the economic potential of the country by strengthening infrastructure, using modern technologies, enriching human resources, and creating robust supply chains,” said Naidu.

COIMBATORE: Tech firms will soon be able to buy the 62-acre special economic zone (SEZ) land developed by the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (Elcot) at Vilankurichi at very affordable prices, Elcot managing director M Vijayakumar said on Friday.
Elcot will set up a startup centre of excellence on 2.5 million sqft of the SEZ site, the official, who was speaking at a webinar organized by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in association with the state government, Elcot and the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) as a part of 19th edition of Connect Coimbatore, said.
The webinar on ‘Digital Disruption – A Business Advantage’ was inaugurated by revenue and disaster management minister R B Udhayakumar. Over 250 participants from various sectors attended.
In his inaugural address, the minister said that Elcot and other government agencies are working to extend the reach of fibre-optic internet connectivity to all villages to improve educational and healthcare services. Sufficient information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure will be created to aid the development, he said.
