This afternoon

Also we need to name everything properly.I think given the size of this project it should also have it's own thread.
Umm...what? So this one is called "Flynn"? I'm changing the thread title...and I'm just writing "Flynn"?Also we need to name everything properly.
There is no Bellview or Rydges Tradewinds.
Riley, Bailey and Flynn.
"THE names of the new Cairns hotels being developed by Crystalbrook Collection have been revealed.
Speaking in Cairns on Thursday afternoon, GA Group Australia owner Ghassan Aboud said the three luxury hotels would be named “Riley”, “Bailey” and “Flynn”.
Riley, the 137 Esplanade site formerly known as Rydges Tradewinds, is on track to open in August next year.
Bailey is expected to open at 163 Abbott St in mid-2019.
Design plans for the GA Group's proposed hotel at 163 Abbott St. The new hotel will be known as “Bailey”.
The five-star hotel will feature 217 rooms, five restaurants and a 24-hour fitness centre.
The third project being undertaken by Crystalbrook Collection in the CBD, at 83 Esplanade, will be known as Flynn."
Yes seriously haha :nuts:Umm...what? So this one is called "Flynn"? I'm changing the thread title...and I'm just writing "Flynn"?
Those would be nice names for his kids, but not for his hotels. Did he just name the hotels after his kids? Although those are pretty anglo names for someone called Ghassan Aboud. (Nope just found out his kids are named Jude, Alma, Taima, Mustafa & Ali) So what's the significance of the names then?
Wow, they really committed to the these-hotels-are-people metaphor  This one, Flynn, is probably the one name of the three that almost works for a building. I mean there is a Flynn in Brisbane, but that's Flynn Apartments, not just "Flynn". I still reckon they have to be someones kids. If not Ghassan Aboud's, then one of the Crystalbrook Collection executive leadership team. Mark Davie is the CEO, and the Operations & HR Director is one Laura Davie, surely his wife. Ten bucks says they have their own little Riley, Bailey and FlynnYes seriously haha
At first I thought it was odd but now I kinda like the names.
All in here:

"There’s the playful one, the thoughtful arty one and the wild child."
They go on to talk about them like children.

Outback jacks always had bad reviews hence why I never went in once.Interesting photo that one, it shows a multi store hotel under construction and all the work and business it is creating whilst at the same time the Outback Jacks in the bottom of the photo has gone broke and landlords have kicked them out and changed the locks.
