World’s tallest hotel to open in Dubai in 2018

Gevora, a 528-key hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, will spread across 78 floors and is set to open this year…
While new hotel openings seem like weekly events here in Dubai, one in particular has caught our eye.

Step this way, Gevora Hotel.

The property, which is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018, will have 528 rooms spread across 78 floors, making it the world’s new tallest hotel.

You’ll find the hotel in the Ahmed Abdul Rahim Al Attar Tower in the Trade Centre area on Sheikh Zayed Road.

That’s the tall one on the left hand side with the pointy top:

When open, the hotel will offer four dining options. There will be an all-day diner and coffee shop on the mezzanine floor and a Mediterranean-meets-Middle Eastern restaurant on Level 12. A pool bar completes the line-up of restaurants.

Adjacent to the pool bar you’ll find a state-of-the-art health club and jacuzzi. Room options vary from a deluxe room up to a two-bedroom suite.

There will also be a luxury spa on level 71 – count us in for a pamper session there.

The record for the world’s tallest hotel is currently held by Dubai’s JW Marriott Marquis, at 77 floors.

Other hotels making the top 10 include the Four Seasons Place in Kuala Lumpur, Rose Rayhaan by Rotana in Dubai, and the iconic Burj Al Arab.

^^ both numbers are pretty close but I think 365 is correct :dunno: ... although the confusion is spreading like wildfire on the internet

Check this very smart article

http://gulfbusiness.com/worlds-new-tallest-hotel-open-dubai/

It states "The emirate already held the record for the world’s tallest hotel with the opening of the 355m JW Marriott Marquis in 2012, but the new opening will surpass this by 10 metres standing at 356m, according to What’s On."

So basically 1+10=2 for them

Another article stating it to be 365m
http://emirateswoman.com/worlds-tallest-hotel-coming-dubai-year/

I mean it doesn't really matter because it was labeled before to be 340 meters and I always thought it looks way higher since Rose Rayhaan is 333m

And one last thing, this hotel brand is owned by Al Attar so hopefully when money starts rolling in, other projects finish!
