50 Floors! Isn't that just wishful thinking on your behalf? :)
Lets wait and see. I understand that this design does not have height approval yet :)

It clearly does. Are you really expecting us to believe that after a year working on the project, the design team do not know what their most basic brief is? Anyway Marina Sky Towers had approval for unlimited height.

Steve, cut out the drama and stop misleading everyone with misinformation. It is obvious that you are only trying to protect your own interest here and that is why you started this thread. The Torch will soon be just another tree in the middle of a forest.
^^ The proposed Marina Sky Towers was cancelled and did not get approval. Hence the re-design into 2 towers of 60F

It will likely be somewhere between 50F and 60F but certainly not more than that.

Stop being a troll.
Bay Central All over again where you fill the thread full of misinformation and I have to drill into the facts.

The Press release states clearly that it is a AED 3 Billion project. I said before that we are talking 3 serious sized towers for that kind of money. Princess Tower was a AED700M project and Cayan Tower (Infinity) was a AED1 Billion project. Basic arithmetic tells me this is a project the size of 4 Princess Towers OR 3 more technically challenging Infinity Towers. And yet you and your friends in the Select corner want us to believe it is only 50 or so floors. The numbers just don't stack up. :eek:hno:

Other facts worth serious consideration;

  • Why are there no renders of the full buildings, only the bottom parts?
  • Why is the sales release only a few floors at a time starting at the bottom?
  • Would the fact that this may be 3 X 80 floor towers, for example, put a lot of potential buyers off?
  • Would the knowledge of the height of the buildings give people a better indication of the likely construction duration?

Some serious answers needed. I think a review of the early pages of Bay Central Thread or West Avenue thread will provide all the answers to the Select Modus Operandi. And yours for that matter ;)

Surely you realize that your 3 x 80f speculation is nonsense. That would not get approval, too much traffic. That's why sky towers was down sized. 60f Max most likely less.
Should I ad that in the website the picture with the infinity pool clearly has Marina Heights Deleted (as well as the road)! It looks like its right next to the marina 6 ...

I'm all in for finishing marina but beware history repeats itself because nobody was listening the first time !

Are you an authority on the approvals process? I think not. I wish you would stick to the facts and stop posting information dressed as factual when you have no proof to back it up.

Is it not a fact that the roads in the area were recently just ripped up and reconstructed as D2 carriageways. Also the plot next to Cayan tower was offered for sale as a plot with unlimited height approval. This is a district promoted as the tallest block where all plots had unlimited height approval. The only limitation is the imagination and budget of the developer. It is clear from the marketing thus far, that Select is not short of either.

Lets see if we get a render of a full tower, so far everything has been of the lower portion only. Tells me a lot :)
There's a full page advert in the National newspaper today, I count 52 floors above podium level.

You should keep a hold of that original, it might be worth a lot of money to someone in their court case in the future :lol:

"Dubai Marina's best kept secret" Not sure about that. I think the Bay Central Hotel only being 12 floors and not opening until 2015 was a better kept secret ;)

I like this project. Location is superb and Selects' quality gets better and better with every tower. On the negative, I think the project looks a bit dense. According to their press release it has 57 floors. Handover will be end of 2017.

They are launching the first tower in the last week of April. It rises 200 meters and is 51 floors high, excluding the six-floor podium and one level of basement. Studios, 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments are available with a limited number of custom Penthouses on the last floors of the Residences and Marina Villas on the podium. The size ranges from 550 to 5,500 square feet based on apartment type. Prices range from 1,800 – 2,300 per square foot, depending on: apartment size, views, floor level.

:lol::lol::lol:

More like 2027. Don't think Sheik Mo will be happy having a building site here at this key location for the 2020 expo.
It's all too massif. And then there's the plot between Marina Heights and Torch! It'll be packed over there!
:cheers::cheers::cheers:i like these tower much more than the previous project
Yes but I think there should be only 2 towers rather than 3, too dense.

By the way this one is still active and you can register your interest in that also! :lol: http://www.marinaskytowers.ae/
^^

Why they should be 2 not 3 !!! They have 3 plot.

You sound like someone live in torch. Are not you ?
