Thanks Greenwich a win this year would be fantastic as Champions of Europe going into 2008.

As a "Liverpolitan" I also hope that Everton can secure the UEFA spot and enjoy a good run in the tournament, visiting fans will see a vastly improved Liverpool in the next 12 months!!
Cheers Greenwich.

As doug says, Liverpool doing well, hopefully bringing the trophy back again, the buzz in the city was amazing, and i was there at St Georges hall to be a part of it, was superb. Everton can also get that spot to boost their fortunes, and enjoy some great Euro occasions.
Agreed - Football captures the imagination of a lot of people abroad, was in Madrid last week and the amount of people that football brings to that city is unbelievable. We are unique at the moment as both Liverpool's and Everton's stadiums are so near to each other. The more people interested in coming to the city and seeing our stadiums the better as they will spend money in the city.

Results are going Evertons way at the moment, as they have to meet Chelsea soon, and it is tight for those Uefa spots.
I am a red but i don't mind Everton being in the UEFA Cup as the city will be in the spotlight a bit more, plus more foreign fans spending ubercash in our city!

They've done it because Reading would have to overturn about a 12 goal difference margin, that would guarentee them seventh even if Spurs and Bolton win to finish above them.Thank you Watford for the win at Reading today.

Congratulations Liverpool.

As we come to the end of the season with BOTH Liverpool clubs back in Europe and putting the city of Liverpool on the world map again in time for next seasons European Capital of Culture. It is worth reminding ourselves of the need for Liverpool....the most succesfull footballing city in Britain....to have two world class stadiums within the city.

Anything less would smack of a complete lack of ambition, forward thinking and pride in our history as a great footballing city.

When the next transfer window opens, Merseyside (2008 capital of culture no less!) will be a seriously attractive propostition. it is essential we build on this sporting success with excellent stadia within easy reach of the people who support it.

Yeah, brilliant well done the Blues and the Reds!! more visitors to the city.
The airport will be busy, just hope there is no Steua Bucharest style **** up like last year.

I can remember last year that Sevilla were playing Bolton in the UEFA Cup yet there were at least 200 Sevilla fans in town. I asked one of them who spoke English why they were in Liverpool. He said that him and his friends had no interest in going to Bolton and wanted to come to a proper footballing city to see both Liverpool and Evertons' grounds. Hopefully Bolton will qualify as well!

I used to be friends with an AC Milan fan who had never visited England and he was aware of Marine, Prescot Cables, South Liverpool, Southport and Burscough. Our football culture is well known abroad!
