Thanks Abdeka...doing a great job showing Algeria (and North Africa)

seeing all these wonderful photos makes me sad and angry that moroccans cannot go and visit...just imagine the number of tourist travelling between the 2 countries!!
there is a lot to see and explore in Algeria and soon i will be going there.

I wonder if this dates to the colonial period. I am tempted to say that it was inspired by French 1930s "monumentalism", for lack of a better term (as opposed to the "modern" Le Corbusier type). The arches in particular really suggest to my untrained eye something monumentalist, but I could be wrong.
