I’m surprised that we are not seeing more projects punching above the standard 230m mark. Didn’t we hear about height limits being increased to 300m? Sorry if this has already been asked !
Bureaucracy is a glacier, especially in the hands of CoS.

Don't hold your breath mate. By the time they decide to change it the boom will be over and whatever was built will need to sustain us until the next couple of decades i predict. I mean even in Parramatta they are pushing back ffs.

it takes time to adopt new lep height controls. ect. not sure why. just sign papers and get going. im hoping they allow higher buldings soon.or we will miss this cycle.
235m towers have an option for 15m feature, so in reality they can go to 250m.
505G has special alowance which im not sure why but so far 260m with option for 10m feature zone thus 270m.
182G is 263m, so they are creeping up there.

Can the government step in? Surely not getting height increases and easier building restrictions done is a blight on the states economy.
ive heard a rimour the telstra plaza at 320 pitt is also going and 235m is going there too. big area in 2023
Doesn't Telstra Plaza adjoin the site of 338 Pitt Street?
Imagination bolts off into the stratosphere!!!

And probably heading for a crash landing.

Again.
telstra plaza its own site. separate from 338 pitt. so that a wall st in the making.4x 235m towers. with nearby 230m world tower and 260m 505G.

^^

The Princeton apartment building will be in-between. They'll be sandwiched between two tallies.

All Telstra buildings seem to have been designed to look obsolete and ugly so they can get demolished later on:lol: Good riddance but they occupy such great spots that i do hope something grand happens. The Telstra low rise at the Broadway/Chippendale intersection is also a big eyesore which begs for demolish.
The Telstra building between Clarence & Kent north of Erskine is even uglier than Sirius.

From memory that particular one (Pitt Street) was designed and built as a speculative development that came online around the time of the 1973-74 downturn. It probably had some trouble attracting tenants. Telecom/Telstra came along looking for some office space some time later.:)

Aw didn't know that, great info thanks! I'm actually glad Telstra chooses unattractive buildings so i won't feel bad when they get demolished for something nicer
Here's three renders of Pitt Street South OSD and station:
