I think Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal will be rather pissed off that his 1007m Kingdom Tower is going to be eclipsed by the 2178m C3 at Barangaroo.
Thanks mate

Site works commenced for 568 Collins (218m). Demolition complete with piling set to start any day now I imagine -> http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1423162&page=13
Coral Tower is Now Stellar Tower and I have not seen anything posted that shows that it is actually under construction yet.

568 Collins Street is just as advanced as Stellar Tower or C3 to C5.

Not a thing in Perth.

Its pretty clear that the high construction costs are really putting things on ice in the west as far as skyscraper construction goes.
With Perth low office vacancy rate of 3.3%, half the rate of Melbourne and Brisbane. No doubt a consequence of the mining boom, you would think developers would be rushing to build office towers.
There aren't even any big proposals at the moment except for the 155m Treasury tower which will be used by the State Gov.

Maybe the developers are waiting to see what will happen after Bankwest and BHP move to their new buildings as that may cause a little bit of a shakeup in the market.
Cul,

King George Central is topped out and is having its core box has already been dismantled. Florr plates have about 2 storeys to go I think.

103 Mary Street is about 3 storeys deep and has started to pour concrete.

The Regent cinema box has been almost completely demolished and reinforcing of the heritage sections have begun.

Thanks for the diagram. Great work once again!

There'll be a resultant rise in backfill absorbtion once BHP and Bankwest settle into their new headquarters. The waterfront will add more office space although nothing has been confirmed yet we should see a couple in the 150 metre vicinity. We also got the Emu brewery site which has the potential to accomodate something really big. Come on Chevron!!

not that its a massve issue... but why if melbourne split into MELBOURNE and SOUTHBANK???

i mean, its fine, but eg.. pearl, wrap, tiara, mainpoint and habitat are ALL in southbak but pearl, mainpoint and habitat all say Melbourne and the other 2 say southbank... can melbourne just be melbourne?

we dont have the kins of mini cities like sydney and chatswood (maybe south yarra but thats it)

just a suggestion!
