Greetings from a deadly hot Milan!

I'll be in Manchester in August just for one night and one day in order to catch a plane to Iceland (you lucky, fares from MAN are unbeatable). As a contemporary architecture freak I'd like to have some suggestions on what to take a picture of - shitty Lonely Planet guides just mention the Imperial War Museum North. I promise full photographic report when I'm back

A map would be great, addresses are great too - I can point details on a map on my own. I don't mind taking the train or Metrolink and exploring further Manchester Greater Area (or even Liverpool), but please remind I'll stop by just one day and I'm around just by public transport :)

Thanks in advance!
