not sure if i told many,i entered in this years coolangatta gold.
fantastic race.
46km.
i trained all through winter for it.
swell whipped up on the sunday which made it difficult first leg ,the 23km ski.
i entered in the open teams catgory.
we went well.we fifnihsed yet. 10 teams didnt/
my race leg was a run and the 3.5km swim. took me juts over an hour.
we got our medal afterwards and had a few beers
def be back next year. great atmosphere.
we did race in just over 6hrs.
amazing watching winner Kane Eckstein run by. what a machine.

yes because of the swell, the ski was a deep water start, which ment you had 15mins to get out to start can. dean mercer who ened up coming 4th, was still stretching when the gun went off.he was 10mins behind.

Well done! I could probably do the run, but the open sea stuff - no way!

Slightly off topic, but is the Bermagui Bronze still an annual event?

There has been some controversy over whether to allow people under 20 to compete. If they feel they can do it, let them do it. Age is no barrier.
