Picture this - Walking down Chester Road toward the city centre from Old Trafford, this time next year. At least three cranes on the various developments on Ellesmere Street, 4 cranes on First Street South, three on Owen Street, one on Deansgate South, one on Axis, one on the Whitworth street tower, at least one on the Circle Square PRS tower :banana:

A tower crane base is in at Landmark, and there's a part closure of Oxford road in front of the site on the weekend of the 6th October. Crane could be going up?

Just looking at the MECD live feed and it looks like there's a crane going up near St Peters Square - Can anyone confirm?

There was supposed to be a crane going up at the Landmark site today

How come cranes always seem to go up at the weekend?

They often need permissions for road closures, and it's preferable from a council/highways point of view that they happen at the weekend. Oxford Road/Street is one way today in front of Landmark.

Plus they don't have a full workforce on weekends, not a lot of construction happens, therefore it's easier logistically.
