I used the long weekend to drive around tha hood a bit... I'm too lazy to explain details just have a look at the pics. Many pictures are missing out though (including complete series from places I visited) as my camera stalled on me a few times :bash: :bash:

Seems like somebody had a nice vacation. I thought that these were not your own pics at first, but then I read your message at the bottom.

SSC scrambled my messages, that's why it was at the bottom, now it's fixed. I wouldn't call 3-4 days a vacation really but it was nice and relaxing
You really used long weekend.;)

So this is why you disappeared from SSC the last few days :D

^^

hehe obviously this is a mannequin...

Well Adriatic sea is far for me though. I'd have to virtually travel from one end of the Balkans to the other.
Thanks for sharing dewrob. One more thing...how's the temperature of the water...isn't it still cold.

theoretically it's still not warm enough but that didn't stop some of the locals dipping in it.

@labi it's a mannequin doll not a real woman :D

Heh , been at those places last summer ... Dubrovnik and Peljesac peninsula ... It is really beautifull out there. Have you been to Korcula ? Its 80km. north of DUbrovnik , i liked that old city a little bit more than Dubrovnik, maybe because it wasn't so crowded ... Still how did you find a parking place in the old town of Dubrovnik (maybe its still off season and there are some places where you can park your car  ) ? What was your marchrute ? I went through Uzice - Nova Varosh - Bjelo Pole - Podgorica - Skadar lake - Petrovac ... The road from Uzice to Nova Varosh was in construction and awfull ... took us 2 hours to pass 60km. :eek:hno: ... And that scary Lim river Kanyon road ... oh man i am defenetely not going on that road again . :)

Some photos which i took on my vacation last summer :

I love Croatia ! Very beautiful country !
Very pretty, nice shots dewrob. I was in Budva, St. Stefan and Dubrovnik last summer and even though they are in desperate need for investments (Montenegro) it's still very beautiful. I must admit that St. Stefan was a very pleasant surprise.
great pics djuro! :eek:kay:
i wish we were that close to Dubrovnik :( but wutta heck...we have Split :D

oh man, I've been to pretty much every place in Croatia worth seeing including Korcula. Montenegro was kinda always the victim there, I always used it for transit and perhaps a coffie along the way so I decided to fix the "injustice" this time and I put the accent on Montenegro.
The Korcula old town is nice indeed and the view from Peljesac when descending above Orebic is a killer.
I know what U mean about Dubrovnik it gets really annoying in high season but now it was very decent it had the optimal amount of tourists. Parking wasn't that bad I always park in the stretch from the 1st enterence to the fortress to the street above it. I use the pay parkings lots. I had to wait for 20mins for a space to clear out which is no biggie.

I've driven the route that U mention before (when Kosovo was still fresh post war zone and I had to circle all the way around it) and again I completely understand U it was perhaps one of the worse roads I've ever driven but it's good to hear it's under reconstruction. Now I took Skopje-Pristina-Pec-Rozaj-Bijelo polje-Podgorica-Skadar-Petrovac........ I didn't find the roads particulary bad this time, it's just what the terrain allows. Still it took me 10+ hours for the lousy 460km from Skopje to the coastline which is way too much (for comparation that's the same time I need to reach Ljubljana on the highway even less). Theoretically Skopje is only 300km from Petrovac so one nice beautiful day when Albania and Montenegro improve their infrastructure and the borders fall down this trip should be a peace of cake.
On the good side the road is gorgeous I love the canyons and the nature and if big long tunnels are dug to cut the jorney we would miss out so much. Moraca canyon in particular is great, it's so mighty and the river is so clean. Plus as much as I love highways driving funky roads like this is much more fun.
