Dana Air Begins Abuja-Enugu Flights

Dana Air has announced the opening of a new sales office at the General Aviation Terminal (G.A.T.), Murtala Muhammad Airport, Ikeja, Lagos to make air tickets more accessible for its growing customers. The airline will also commence direct flights from the capital city of Abuja to Enugu coal city today.
Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Jacky Hathiramani who disclosed this to aviation correspondents, said that with the opening of the new sales office at the G.A.T,. passengers who travel through the old domestic terminal can now purchase their Dana Air tickets without having to go to the airline’s operational base at Murtala Muhammad Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2). “As we extend our operations to more cities across the federation, we will operate some of our flights from the G.A.T.”, Mr. Hathiramani hinted. As part of its on-going efforts to make tickets’ purchase easier and more convenient for its customers, the airline has also recently appointed well known travel agents in Victoria Island and Ikoyi area of Lagos , and is looking at expanding its sales outlets in Abuja , Enugu , Kano and Port-Harcourt soon.
On the commencement of direct flights from Abuja to Enugu , Mr. Hathiramani said “Dana Air is committed to offering Nigerians safe, convenient and affordable air transport services to major destinations across the country. As we begin direct flights between the cities of Abuja and Enugu on July 10, 2009, we assure our customers of the same world class service that Dana Air has become known for on other domestic routes. We also plan to begin flights from Lagos to Kano in the next couple of weeks, and Lagos to Port-Harcourt shortly afterwards.”
Since commencing commercial flight operations on November 10, 2008, Dana Air has become the toast of air travellers in Nigeria with an award for ‘Best ICT-Driven Airline 2009’ to its credit.
According to Mr. Hathiramani, “We have been able to make a huge impact within few months of operations because we have a passion for excellence and are always willing to go the extra mile for our passengers. We will continue to ensure the highest standards of safety and service in every area of our operation.”
Only recently, Dana Air introduced a promo in which passengers will be entitled to one free ticket after flying with the airline nine (9) times on any of its routes, economy or business class. In the words of Mr. Hathiramani, “The gesture is a way of expressing appreciation for customers’ loyalty and trust in our operations. We will continue to introduce products that will encourage our passengers to always fly ‘The Smartest Way’ with Dana Air.”
