Hi guys

I am planning to go on a trip to the dead sea this summer, in june.

so I have couple of questions in mind

1) how many days are enough in the dead sea.
2) what are the attractions there, what can I do
3) what hotel has a good reputation there.
4) what the climate is like at june in the dead sea area.
5) what is the distance from amman to dead sea.
6) if I am traviling from abu dhabi, what airlines are good.
7) is there a diffrence between the israelie side and the jordanian side of the dead sea.
8) can I swim for long time in the dead sea, or I will be salted:lol:

please guys respond, I dont whant to mess things up.

keep on mind I am on a tight budget:bash:

ANSWERS
1) Two-Three Days, Four Max
2) Truthly there isnt much to do, however all hotels are extremely nice, sunsets look amazing and the dead sea is just great by itself
3) Movenpick......very very very nice !!!!
4) 24 to 31 degrees
5) 1 hour drive
6) Royal Jordanian
7) Jordanian side is much nicer and safer
8) Depends on you. The water is very good for your skin, however avoid getting cuts in the water
1) 4 days is perfect
2) mostly just chill
3) i would say the marriot...quiet nice and basicly all of them are quiet nice
4) think around 30
5) 40min. - 1hour drive
6) emirates or royal jordanian
7) cant really say never been on the other side...(israel) tho the jordanian side is quiet nice and safe...as mentioned
8) ofcourse u can...u dont even need to swim :D just lay there in the sun...and yeah cutting urself is quiet painful...and water in ur eyes...ahh i hate that...i literally cant see for like 5-7 minutes when that happens :p other than that its a place to chill...
Imo, Dead Sea is not worth spending 4 days, 1 or 2 would be enough, if you have a chance to find a pack tour of Jordan you may consider them. I would recommend some plan like, staying in Aqaba for 4 days, visiting Amman while going to Dead Sea, and then spending 2 days in Dead Sea and return. Aqaba has a FANTASTIC under-sea life and reasonable diving prices, many hotels for every budget.

Swimming in Dead Sea is strange, water is oily and salty, you will have to wash your self again and again after getting out. But it is an odd feeling and worth to give a try, ground is sharp salt rocks but as you float wouldn't be a problem (don't try to stand up, it is not possible but if you try it at shallow areas, you may cut yourself which will be double pain because of water) and wear a water google to protect your eyes. Btw it is recommended to spend something like 15-20 minutes maximum in dead sea water.

yes.
after all I found things in jordan to visit more than the dead sea alone.

for the airlines there are 4 airlines going from the uae to jordan non-stop.
air arabia(economy airlpan) , emirates, royal jordan , and etihad.

but I have now two choices either etihad or royal jordanian, since they depart from abu dhabi and I am from abu dhabi.

I will choose one of them depending on which departs at a time that suits me better.

etihad departs at 1;35 mourning, royal jordan at 9;35. I will see.
