Demolish the BT Tower, Centre Point...

...The Park Lane Hilton, and rebuild them all in a cluster with the old 20 Fenchurch Street, Drapers Gardens. May not seem to practical unless there was an incentive. Perhaps relaxed PP in a desirable area. Personally none of these buildings look good individually but collectively I reckon they would. Any other editions to the most aesthetic of 1960s London or even UK?

How about as Stratford City?

I prefer the BT tower and Centre Point where they are. They look good.
But they are both completely inappropriate for their settings. Plus observing the Melbourne skyline one can see that lots of mediocre skyscrapers thrown together looks impressive.
Those two towers set where they are ARE London to me. I grew up with them and new I reached the centre of town when I saw them.
???
If they did that, I think I would actualy cry!
I hope they do nothing to the Euston Tower either: id miss its CRAZY updraft!

Oh dear, close the thread please.
My father worked years in the BT tower, but I think it should be reformed
No no no no no, you know where in London you are when you see those 2 monoliths, great points of reference, leave them be.
BT tower no way. I like that and its location.
Centre Point is a hideous monstrosity that distroys the junction between Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road and looks simply appauling on the skyline from any angle. I would love to see that gone and NEVER rebuilt anywhere.
Centre Point is a nice building in the wrong place. A public square on the site of the whole complex of buildings would greatly improve the area.
I think its a great building, still looks fresh IMO, that is surrounded by dross, and has a bad base space.TCR needs a complete re-model, its horrible
I'm living currently in London and Centre Point is one of my city favourites buildings. (also the Gherkin) They are original not like Canary Wharf buildings (they seem to be almost equal, but I love the view of them from Greenwich Park, it`s lovely).

When I'm walking by Soho and Covent Garden I can place myself only seeing that building.

Totthenam Court Road would loose its personality without the Centre Point building in my opinion. It's like a symbol of Soho.

The other day I bought one t-shirt in Brick Lane Market with the Centre Point in yellow, I love it. lol

I'm sorry about my english, I'm trying to improve it, I hope you can undestand me!

Regards from Southwark!!

What's wrong with the BT tower's current location?

Plus its an iconic building.

It would look better in a cluster.
