The Gherkin 'inspired' building in Bangkok? It's an ersatz copy.

Toronto based Olympia & York, which built large parts of Toronto's CBD, sought to recreate a little bit of Canada in both London and New York. The company built Canary Wharf in London and World Financial Center in New York. Quite predictably some of the buildings look very similar.

Olympia & York eventually went bankrupt and some of their properties became part of another Toronto company called Brookfield.

I think also the Unipol Tower u/c in Milano is inspired by the 30 St Mary Axe in London.

There are certain buildings are building by the same architectural firm but with a slightly different concept.

Take Goldman Sachs Tower in Jersey City and IFC in HK particularly 1-IFC are they are within the similar height range.

while not an exact copy and not being finished yet, Chongqing Raffles City at Chaotianmen has a unique location, is really tall and has other improvements to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore by the same developer.
