According to the news on Phnom Penh Post, Cambodia will plan to build a tunnel below the river. Do you think if it is feasible?

សេចក្តីប្រកាស ដែលត្រូវបានគេចាត់ទុកថា ជារបស់មន្រ្តីមូលដ្ឋានម្នាក់ ដែលសុំមិនបញ្ចេញឈ្មោះនេះ ត្រូវបានគេបង្ហោះកាលពីថ្ងៃពុធ នៅលើគេហទំព័ររបស់សាលារាជធានីភ្នំពេញ។
សេចក្តីប្រកាសនេះបានសរសេរបន្តទៀតថា៖ «កំណើនសេដ្ឋកិច្ចឆាប់រហ័ស របស់កម្ពុជា បានធ្វើឲ្យរាជធានីភ្នំពេញមមាញឹកជាងមុន។ រាជធានីនៅពេលបច្ចុប្បន្ននេះ មានប្រជាជនជិត ២លាននាក់។ បញ្ហាចរាចរណ៍ កំពុងតែស្មុគស្មាញ»។
ខណៈដែលមិនមានការរៀបរាប់លម្អិតបន្ថែមទៀត លើការកំណត់ការសាងសង់ ឬកម្រិតនៃការគូរប្លង់ ផ្លូវក្រោមដី ដែលពុំធ្លាប់មាននៅកម្ពុជានោះ គំនិតនេះ បានកើតមាន បន្ទាប់ពីផ្លូវចូលក្រុងផ្សេងៗទៀត ព្យាយាមកាត់បន្ថយការកកស្ទះចរាចរណ៍តាមរយៈការកសាងស្ពានអាកាស។
កាលពីចុងខែមេសា គណៈប្រតិភូរាជធានីភ្នំពេញមួយក្រុម បានធ្វើដំណើរទៅប្រទេសវៀតណាម ហើយបានមើលផ្លូវក្រោមដី ដែលមាន ៦ ខ្សែ កាត់ពីក្រោមទន្លេសាយហ្គន ក្នុងទីក្រុងហូជីមិញ។
ប្រធានមន្ទីរសាធារណៈ រាជធានីភ្នំពេញ លោក សំ ពិសិដ្ឋ បានថ្លែងនៅពេលនោះថា ផ្លូវក្រោមទន្លេសាប នៅរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ អាចជាផ្លូវមួយទៀត ដើម្បីកាត់បន្ថយការកកស្ទះចរាចរណ៍។

The 2nd Chroy Chong Va bridge is under construction....
But its can be possible also if (Sok Kong) want his new sokha hotel more closer... That's why our p-penh governor visited Saigon.... Who know its maybe sponsor by Sok Kong.
I can't say if it will be build, but it is a good infrastructure project to connect the east to the west and open the possibility to develop the east side of the lake.

他說，在位於棉芷區的第三座天橋和第一條地下隧道完工後，金邊市府將繼續開通我國歷史上第一條河底隧道，橫穿洞里薩河河底，以接連金邊市至水淨華東岸地帶。
他還說，針對興建河底隧道計劃，市長高竹德瑪上個月還率領技術代表團前往胡志明市，參觀當地橫穿西貢河河底的隧道。
他說，市長高竹德瑪希望金邊也能擁有一條河底隧道，以緩解金邊市交通阻塞問題。
他說，隨著國家經濟不斷往前發展，人民越來越富裕，交通阻塞問題也越來越嚴重，所以，金邊市府不斷的尋求解決對策。

The article say it is trying to do what HCN did, a tunnel 1490m, 33.3m wide, and cost 78 millions.
But it did not say how long our propose bridge is going to be.

Thu Thiem Tunnel is built after Ho Chi Minh City has developed the most modern boulevard - Vo Van Kiet Boulevard ( East- West Highway ). I don't think Phnom Penh will have a tunnel until the city's road system gets more developed.
Anyway, ThuThiem Tunnel is longer than this project. ThuThiem is a 2250m ( longest in SEAsia) so it's definitely more expensive.

Cambodian never expected that we can have overpass anytime soon but now we got 2 and more will come...
Why need to wait until boulevard upgraded to modern or only modern cars only are allowed to use that boulevard?
