Kweli is there enough reserve for dualling on Argwings Kodhek rd? Same goes for Gitanga road.
Oh god like this road needs it desperately

Maybe in the same design as valley road with no large median.
The Argwing Kodhek-Gitanga Road has a narrow corridor, and people have built close to the road, acquisition will have to take place and it wont come cheap unless its proven to be road reserve.
Dualling what? This is a zero sum game

Maybe.

Let's see how it will pan out.

Passed that road and I can confirm this is possible with a slim median. However a lot of houses outer walls have encroached onto the road reserve and therefore will be demolished.

I used this road a lot growing up, when kile had like 3 7aside mats and best option was to walk to methodist to catch a packed 46mat or kbs back in the day. As far as my memory could serve me, there was plenty of reserve unless its now all encroached on.

Till yaya it's possible, from yaya to Methodist itakuwa ngumu gitanga road will also be easy
^^^^its possible, the land there is only encroached by walls. Gladly the houses haven't encroached. A bulldozer can bring down the walls in one day.
Hii barabara nimeitumia fifteen years na sijaona another road frankly that is crying for space like it. For it to be dualled there will be massive demolitions. Pale kwa Ford Kenya office hata nafasi ya kutembea besides the road hamna. Meanwhile lets say its magically dualled, how will it help traffic ya Kingara road? How will it link to the ever gridlocked Naivasha road? How will the traffic confusion that is the sharp corner at Kabarnet road(not sure of name, pale kwa ninety degrees) gonna be solved? Imo those three roads would massively free this road if they are expanded before wasting money on expensive acquisitions
Last time I checked Kura website, Naivasha road is due for dualling as well. I also don't see why Jame Gichuru shouldn't be dualled from ABC place to Junction. The space is there.

All these Nairobi roads that experience heavy traffic should be dualled. Argwings Kodhek, James Gichuru, Limuru Road, Kiambu Road, Peponi Road, Parklands Road, Naivasha Road, Magadi Road, Karen road, All saints - Kenya National Library pass Bomas et all

Swali ni, kwani they will all be done at the same time?

Everyone has an idea of which road should be dualled when. Good thing is they are doing something.

Like UK says "Tutosheke na haya"

There is sufficient road reserve for this. People have encroached over the years, if you look closely from Yaya center heading to town, the road is wide, till four points, walls all the way, then widens again at DOD.

Those properties/walls are clearly on road reserve.

In the case of Four Points, not just on Argwings Kodhek. Take a look at Rose Avenue, where the section from Agrwings Kodhek to Jabavu Road has actually been "eaten" by Four Points. As a fig leaf, another nearby road between the two same streets has conveniently been renamed Rose Avenue, whereas the actual road has been grabbed:

Gosh ,you make me feel old i'd be lost as I haven't been to Argwings Kodhek rd ,Yaya center and DoD side in more than 10 yrs.Are the few office blocks I've seen on SSC Kenya part of the walls problem?
