Sorry to have been sceptical, but having been spun all sorts of stories (and fake progress reports, staged photos etc intended to placate investors) by the developers of various projects we invested in Dubai, I have been checking the Arabtec website regularly, looking for further confirmation that this project finally, finally now has the green light.

from the other pictures on DAMAC site it looks like piling is still progressing.

^^ For me it looks like a five men construction site. And sometime the made a little bit piling another time a litte bit excavation. Reminds me a litte bit to wind towers. hno:
Want to see this construction site with many workers. Like Infinity Tower or the Ocean Heights.

I met them at their sales office in Media City, not that far away from the DH site on Monday. Initially they were discussing options to swap into a unit at ocean heights, but I worked out I couldn't afford to do that.

They said that dh should be finished by 2016. We'll see...

the 2016 is far away but I can not share my apartment with another and I will wait till the end of the work.

And to think that the tower was first designed (then redesigned) and site boarded up since early 2006 hno:

I was the first to discover this when I was taking construction updates pictures in the area.
