Sorry I can't speak or read Dutch. I was driving west of Melbourne, Australia a few days ago and was surprised to see this in the countryside...reminded me of 'The Netherlands' somehow?

It looks like a dutch windmill. It's a replica, i suppose.
In Australia lives a lot of dutch people. This will remind the dutch population to their county :)
I also think it's a 'Dutch' town in Australia :)
Lame... Really, really lame...
The average Moroccan integrates better in NL
white ???
never, no way, not at all, of course not, certainly not :eek:hno:
(I have never seen that in the Netherlands)
looks better when WHITE about one thousand times to me.

Its a shame because in the NL they dont have much bright colors , everything is dark brown and black , or dark red green...thats totally wrong , they wanted ,I guess, to fit the colors of everything to 'bad weather and lack of real nature'..which is totally wrong again , they should have done it the 'Opposite Way' you people...

I've seen even worse examples in Belgium...there are towns that are completly dark brown from top to bottom everything the roofs of houses are black , thats so fucked up and so depressed

I guess thats the case in Western Europe I mean UK and Benlux , not completley in general but the minds of those who did this philosophy of dark black 'building' style came to life are really wrong and fucked up for me

Maybe because those are the natural colors of the materials? Also black and grey are not depressive, white is depressive.

u are wrong man totally ,or maybe ur just sky high, if not to make it clear to u: dark and grey combined with the cloudy and rainy weather is killer combination , its a proven fact thats why I said they shoulda done it the opposite , if u dont get it well..who cares

A proven fact? Please tell me more about it.

BTW, how does this look depressive:

Bricks are in their natural color.
Wood on the top covered with tar to make it water proove.
It's not like if they had anything better in your view those days.

Something more depressive: Average American city's and towns (I suppose you're from the USA). Here we have historic city centre's, there you have huge shoppingmalls and boring suburbs. And we have tree's, nice green tree's that make the streetscenes a lot happier.

IMO we don't care about your very weird ehh.. view.
well thats just my opinion , actually I aint form the states btw...talk about werid viewing it doesnt get any weirder than...ummm well you know who and what...so I dont care either and btw I dont like the picture (second) the first looks better much better windmill that is
According to Omegatype they should have been painted pink and yellow
this looks great

This picture shows a black and a green house, poor and rich.
oh man that looks poor , it looks like a child playground
oh man that looks poor , it looks like a child playground

Same houses at it's most depressive time. How on earth does that look bad... those houses are a couple of hundred years old...

i totally agree.. it's a pretty sad sight.. and to think 90% of the historical architecture looks like that..
They need the tulips to brighten the place up.. optical illusions at it's best
Redbaron, the guy that built this in the 1980s was Dutch and modelled it on a place in Holland, he had to make a few overseas trips to get the spec's right apparently,he fell to his dead building it.
Here's another one in Western Australia, built in the 90's by another dutch idiot who's still alive.:)
