Btw Moroccan borders & Chlef (west part) : 359 km - 90% Finishedمبرووووك للجزائر
i hope one day we will be able to drive from cairo to algiers and casablanca. with lybia planning their 1500-km motorway all that will be left is the borders to open!
excellent specifications, well done - and also do you know which parts are finished and which are still u/c?
The interconnection of highway network could be advantageous for building common economic space. The connection project on a Tunisian highway already exists. How close to the border to Morocco will the motorway go? I know on the Moroccan side it will end just west of Oujda which is about 20 kms from the border with Algeria. Both Tlemcen and Oujda would benefit enormously from an opening of the border. Today, they are like dead ends. In a few weeks it's 15 years since the closure of the borders between the countries.
Thank you for this information abdeka. Do you know the year and month that these sections will open?Btw Moroccan borders & Chlef (west part) : 359 km - 90% Finished
Btw Chlef & Bordj Bou Arréridj (center part) : 300 km - 90% Finished (the party of Algiers is U/C, because of the big project of interconnection of highways around the capital city)
Btw Bordj Bou Arréridj & Tunisian borders (east part) : 399 km - around 45% U/C
The project highway : 1216 Km.
The opening of the highway (Est - West) is plannified for 2010-2011.Thank you for this information abdeka. Do you know the year and month that these sections will open?
This part is in 2x2, i don't know why. :dunno:Algeria has changed its signage! :applause: Looks very similar to the Moroccan one. But why is this bypass only 2x2? I thought that all Algerian autoroutes were supposed to be 2x3?
