Early 1900s architecture returning?

I've been wondering, since the US has lost so much to the faulty urban renewal policies of the 50s-70s, and have lost so many buildings. Is early 1900s architecture making a comeback? I've seen many modern buildings that are similar to those in the early 1900s.
