Nkt,,in Kenya nowadays is better to have hope to a tower/building when it has topped out
This institute lost a very prominent person recently to the pandemic. I'm sure they have more urgent in house matters to attend to. I will just be patient on this project.

Add in the Lockdown that really affected a lot of large and small scale projects.

This project will be back and running by sometime mid next year.
Actually it seems construction is back, they are doing I believe their first floor

The more I look at those renders, the more I feel they were meant to resemble a nephron. A nephron is the functional unit of a Kidney that produces urine. You can see how it kinda looks like the yellow part in the diagram below of a nephron.

Why can't that paint this ugly 😫 KNH building,
It would need more than painting, a full refurbishment and modernisation

Paint would not suit KNH. It wasn't designed for pant.
A scrub down is all it needs

You know we do have paints for concrete driveways which are much like KNH exteriors then why not? Mind you driveways get much more beating and rough use than the exterior walls of KHN which barely get touched.Let's paint this ugly monster or get it pressure washed at least.
The best option for KNH would be aluminium panels and glass. Paint will fade.

I believe you're referring to surface seals. These are transparent and do little to change the original color nor texture.
Kipande Hse, Standard Chartered Bank on Kenyatta Ave and the KICC and even Bruce Hse have in the past undergone this treatment, retaining the original concrete textures, after dust scrubbing the walls...

Nope not surface seals ,i'm talking real stuff with colours/shades of your preference and real texture for sticking tough surfaces.
Those suggestions would make KNH look worse.

The best remodeling for KNH would be to add large windows and allow more natural light across the structure.

And then we go a step further and add a large green garden with lots of plant life, birds and even butterflies. To aid in the mental recovery of patients.
For spaces where natural is not enough we can change the interior to mimic a more bright environment.

This method for interior modeling is literally almost the cheapest method. Redo the ceilings with gypsum and in smart LED mood lighting and the hospital, add automatic doors and as well remote opening security doors, and KNH would match any western hospital. Then redo the windows to be larger add some exterior lights and clean up the concrete structure.

No need to use EPS or aluminum cladding.

In other words you propose a complete change of its facáde.
I'm not sure many would agree with that.
There an element of PROVENANCE you'd be overlooking. KNH wouldn't be quite KNH.
How close have you been to KNH in real life if I may. I mean real close.
