I don't think they changed the design ryan. They just reduced the amount of residential units for sale and put "Eastwood Park Hotel" on the top.

OK this must be a different concept, residential and hotel suites. Ibig bang sabihin nito there will be suites that are for sale and other would be for rental? When I went back home last year, we stayed briefly at Astori Hotel sa Pasig, where we rented a suite. I heard from others there that they actually live there. Is it the same concept?

@ akaflores - I guess it's the same concept. Maybe it's also like Galleria Regency with the upper floors as condominium units and the lower floors as the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Well... Ortigas and Makati must have quite an amount of business travellers, Manila's obviously mostly for the tourists. I don't know what their judgement was to build a hotel here. I guess somethign will pop out here?

Thanks Thomasian. That must be the latest trend. I remember when I stayed at Oakwood, I was told by receptionists that there are some suites that are not available for rental, for they are owned by individuals.

wow... maybe they're putting up the hotel for expats from foreign call center locators and Citibank execs that work in Eastwood. I wonder how many floors will be for the hotel though.

after all these residentials at Eastwood (there are gonna be like a billion people living in that tiny little city by the time all these are done. haha!) is there even any room left for new office towers? I was trying to check out the masterplan but they're site is down or something right now...

1800 Eastwood Avenue is actually an office building...mostly call center and IT companies will be occupying the building...

the tower has 38 floors, the hotel is the upper 5 floors, mall is located at the lower 4 floors


the eastwood park hotel & residential suites is one of the four towers in the middle...the one in the lower side of the picture
