São Paulo Open Museum of Sustainability by Adriana Levisky and Anna Dietzsch

The Open Museum for Sustainability reflects the growing partnership between public and private sector. It is located in a central area of São Paulo where there is a deactivated garbage incinerator and it’s a good example of revitalization of polluted areas . In fact nowadays many cities have to face with post industrialization and degraded places, surely a new challenge, and the need of new open public spaces . The project consists of a curved deck of recycled brazilian hardwood, absolutely local, above the site, supported by a steel structure, to minimize contact with the contaminated soil, without excavations. Just like a floating boat. The project guides the visitor through information panels describing all the sustainable features of the park, like the recycling of wood , water recycling system and soil purification
