Built from 1925 to 1929 to serve as the headquarters of The São Paulo Light & Power, the building was projected by the american architect William Proctor Preston.Between 1939 and 1941 an enlargement took place giving the building its current shape, however,a 20 floor's annex planned in the original project was never built. Finally,in the 90's the company moved out of and the building was converted into a mall.

i would prefer the original but the "half" of this building seems me a handsome structure, the iron and glass vault at inner is beautiful as well. Normally i'm a fan of the buidings of those early years when the skyscrapers being to be constructed.
