This thread is result of ducks wish for buying new camera, we nearly started a discussion in other thread which has nothing to do with cameras, so we moved it here.

Which camera do you have ? Which specifications ?

For beginners i advice them to buy a camera from Canon A Serie, started from A70> (A75, A80....) It s very good for beginners,

NEVER buy noname cams, including cams of HP (They re not very good)

anyway, my cam is these one, 3mpix, 10x optical zoom:

Konica Minolta Z10

and my old one, canon A60

:)

Here's my darling camera.:)
Kodak easyshare LS420

I love it cause it's small, but that's the only thing that's good about it.:D
I'm planning to get a new camera, so I can take some pics with actual optical zoom (unfortunately my cam has nothing but digital, and that's a :nono: ).

I currently own and operate a Olympus c-160, with the following features:

• 3.2 million pixels
• 5mm AF (equivalent to 38mm on a 35mm camera), f2.8 lens
• 1.5” LCD with multi-language menu
• 4 scene programs (Portrait, Self Portrait, Night Scene, Landscape)
• Movie recording function
• PictBridge support

I also have a 512 mb card which allows me to take up to 5000+ pics . At best quality I can take some 250+. Here are the photos:

i bought before 1 week a 512 mb sd card too, cause i need it for Belgrade this march, it cost about 55 € and i can get 280 pics at highest quality i think :)
Nice what type do you have? I have an xD picture card.
Hehe..."for Belgrade". Looking forward to that, Stevan:yes:

And I too, am buying a new camera specifically for Belgrade...Montenegro, and other places in the region, which I will visit this summer - first time after eight years.

Lol, I have an old Fuji A200. I bought it over 3 1/2 to 4 years ago, so I guess it was okay at the time I bought it. I'm probably going to get a new one very soon.

Sadly enough, this camera's picture quality is very good, often times beating the quality of my friends' cameras, even if they have more megapixels.

This is my present cam, by the way...basic Fujifilm A200.
For beginners like me, its ok:)

^^ WOW these one is really scary

Duck, if you read this, which cam do u want to buy ? And KM , which cam are you thinking about ?
Most likely, that new Konica Minolta Z5...or Z3, since its price will drop after Z5 is released.

What would you recommend, something that has at least 3.2mp and 6x optical zoom?

KM Yepp, at least 3.2mp, but it wouldn't be bad buying an 4 megapixel cam.
Anyway, there is a "big 5" in camera manufacteurs, and that are Canon, Nikon, KonicaMinolta, Kodak and Fuji, rest is good but not good as five.

Cams around 4 mpx i can advice you are:

Konica Minolta Z3

Kodak DX6490

;)
This one is top class. Some cams that are even more expensive don`t make so sharp photos.

^^ it sn't digital model, digital has one d in its specification, my next cam ll be canon EOS 300d (Itsn't anymore in serial production, but ebay.. :D )
Singi, I'm a lazy bum...........it's so tiresome for me. But I'll try next week when my Easter vacation starts :horse:

I am looking into buying a camera soon too... and I like the the Kodak one you suggested...

I went and did a search over the net for it and found this: Here is a link to a visual of it, where you can view it at every single angle. Looks nice, I think.
