Experts have found that there was a marked increase in the amount of sewage collected from the hotel during the past two days.
Lol
I doubt if oracle is actually investing 300crores....
the news gave me the impression that oracle will provide colleges with about rs300 crore worth free software....and will operate from the start up village
Maybe I am wrong
Here are a few points.

Java is too generic a tech and not exactly high in the value chain for training centers, unlike say ERP modules, DBA etc. No one is going to invest 300 crores for a training center. This can be a A state-wide training program.

Oracle's educational facilities are completely web based and even in Bangalore, the training content is not that big compared to dev. So whenever they need a classroom, they either book a conference room (if available) inside Oracle or if it is for external parties, they hire a hotel conference room.

So until we get a credible information from sources other than Manorogi we can't do the "Pazham kulukkal". Otherwise it will be another episode of Manorogi's "Agola IT Bheeman Oracle Kochiyilekku" by Manorogi 6-7 years back. :)

All I can do is lament of the fate of Kerala when educated people in Kerala is trying to gauge the success of EK by the amount of garbage collected. Kezhuka Sakshara Keralame....what did u xpect to come out of EK?? CM had clearly pointed out that its gonna b a venue for discussions only. No investor is going to join the bandwagon and invest crores because of EK. They will study the proposals , interact with the government and do a feasibility study and then oly concrete proposals will come forward. Give it another 6 months Atleast. So don't jump into any preconceived notions seeing the amount of garbage collected.
:bash:

If KK is against development please read today's Editorial. Can you deny any point they have mentioned?

If anybody has the information about the 45 projects and district wise distribution of projects please share. ^^
Thanks for the link ^^

Some(Or Many) of the projects seems bogus at the first glance itself !!
Naturally... After all 22 projects are proposed or located in Kochi.....:lol:
So you indirectly saying projects in Kochi are bogus in nature. ^^
ഏതായാലും അവസാനം ആ തിരിച്ചറിവുണ്ടായല്ലോ..സന്തോഷം :)

I didn't say any places in particular. I felt some projects in other places are also bogus in nature mostly pvt investments.

Volkswagen announces setting up 2 Units in Kerala. Two Engine Assembling and overhaul unit will be set up in Kochi and Trivandrum. MOU with govt will be signed with Govt soon.

Now, for some, this news would be partially okay, I suppose:lol:

None of the projects need something like Emerging Kerala. The PSU projects like BPCL, KRML, Petronet etc were already announced earlier. Things like new hotels, hospitals etc starts every year across various cities and towns in Kerala. Why do we need so much hype for that.

Then there are some udayippu projects like township in the name of IT. Those are fake real estate projects. We have seen many such announcement but nothing materialized.

Only thing worth the hype was the Volkswagen units. That too appeared to be a fake announcement. The money spend on this scam called Emerging Kerala could have been used for Macadam tarring at least half a dozen district roads.
Don't do..don't do..If you say something like this you will be labelled as "Vikasana Virodhi" by the "Emerging Kerala Executive Committee(EKEC)" in SSC. A few of us already got that certification when we said the "King is naked".

I am not questioning the geniunity of news or CM's announcement... Thats a different case all together... But the attitude of many forumers here, looks like, as these happened in Pakistan.....
+100001

Yes. Even a few people think that Vizhinjam is in Pakistan..

Sajith, It was not about supporting false claims. We came to know only now that this could be a false claim. I was talking about the reaction to that news.
The reaction was not against any developments. It was a reply to a sarcastic comment made by one of the fellow member. :)
വീണ്ടും പഴയ യുദ്ധ തന്ത്രം !! മറ്റുള്ളവരെ Essay വായിപ്പിച്ചു തോല്*പ്പിക്കുക !!
The intention of many forumers is what? Bash all proposals in Kochi directly and indirectly? We do ignore it, doesn't mean we don't understand the intention.....
If you felt so that is your problem. Nowhere we mentioned Kochi. It is you bringing Kochi into the picture. We were telling about the false claim by CM about the VW project. You only mentioned that VW project is coming up in both Kochi and Trivandrum.

Volkswagen announces setting up 2 Units in Kerala. Two Engine Assembling and overhaul unit will be set up in Kochi and Trivandrum. MOU with govt will be signed with Govt soon.
If the project is losing it is lost for Trivandrum also. Then how it is against only Kochi ?
