I doubt if oracle is actually investing 300crores....
the news gave me the impression that oracle will provide colleges with about rs300 crore worth free software....and will operate from the start up village
Maybe I am wrong
Here are a few points.
Java is too generic a tech and not exactly high in the value chain for training centers, unlike say ERP modules, DBA etc. No one is going to invest 300 crores for a training center. This can be a A state-wide training program.
Oracle's educational facilities are completely web based and even in Bangalore, the training content is not that big compared to dev. So whenever they need a classroom, they either book a conference room (if available) inside Oracle or if it is for external parties, they hire a hotel conference room.
So until we get a credible information from sources other than Manorogi we can't do the "Pazham kulukkal". Otherwise it will be another episode of Manorogi's "Agola IT Bheeman Oracle Kochiyilekku" by Manorogi 6-7 years back.
