Not only dubai.. outside kerala overall...
This is what everyone should dream of
:grouphug:

You people are speaking sense. We should aspire for more no of jobs in our land rather than working for someone else abroad.I would not mind if we have only handful of flights operating tourists and businessmen from kerala,if we have opportunities in our own state. We start jumping seeing foreign remittances as if we have acheived a great deal by not opening opportunities in kerala.Whatif (hypothetical of course)gulf countries ban Indians from working there?where will u accomodate them?Wt abt those wives and children who see their husbands/fathers once in a year or two?what are we talking about? We Keralites should strart scratching our head in the right direction.
World out side the well is progressing so fast and we koopamandookams start crying and accusing abt this hijack/that theory and what not in ssc.I donot mind a It park or Some consulate coming up in Pathanamthitta or wayanad or kasargod as long as it is in Kerala.
PS:Irony that i think aranmula airport is a stupid idea

People opposing NIMZ siting that labours rights are compromised and they can be fired with.Half of the malayalees are working outside especially in Gulf.Wonder what labour rights they are enjoying.Saw a movie in which Srinivasan,a hard core commie goes to Gulf for an earning and shouts 'Inquilab Zindabad' inside the wash room.
Isn't it better that atleast we have industries coming up and our future gens can grab a job in our state instead of travelling thousands of kms.I am sure if employment opportunities are abundant, even employees will hop onto better paying jobs unlike current sit where we dont have an option but to stick the ass to one lucky option that comes our way.Industries too will want to retain good employees and give better packages for they might leave for better pay elsewhere.

2 days into EK.Has anyone come up with any solid project? I cannot find anything really impressive.Except for the news that this country is interested in Metro and all that nonsense.I am slowly turning into a pessimist regarding EK.Where are the big promises made. Can anyone throw some light into it?

One of the demands put fwd by kerala Govt to PM- Increase in amount of Gold allowed by airlines from Gulf to kerala.Has the Govt gone nuts?Does this demand even qualify to be put forward to the PM of India? As if there is nothing under the sky to put fwd?Why did they not demand for a seperate rly zone?

KM Mani says 2.5 laks crores of projects has been discussed and this will give rise to lots of ancillary units.
Good news
Good that they discussed. But the million dollar question is whether anything will be implemented on ground?
Time to stop all these nonsense. No other state might be having so much of intra state rivalry and animosity.Someone who doesn't know the facts about kerala come across this forum might mislead into believing that we are fighting for California,LA,Chicago and NY.Let development come to Kerala, let it be in Wayanad or Idukki.WTF,fighting over petty issues like this city is neglected, this project moved elsewhere. And fighting over Emerging kerala, the result in which all our hopes have been submerged.Projects like Refinary expansion etc already was in the pipeline,Oc and team signed it in EK just to inflate the figures. All other projects except for a selected few are clearly a well planned fabrication.Disappointing EK for entire kerala
