It was the same in Wroclaw....

One minute there was snow every where and then within a few days it was blue skys and no sign of any snow. It melted so fast that people thought that Wroclaw would be in for some major flooding. But actually there was very little.

17 March - the end metro station is in the far background. The water which covers the ground was produced by fast-melting snow, it could not sink immediately into the still-frozen soil.

As may be seen below, Varsovians' craving for warm sunshine following a long, cold and dismal winter either gives them impressive courage, or makes them forget that summer does not yet start on 23 March :)
