This definitely looks to be back onsite, more lads working this morning and stacks of plaster board visible inside
That's promising. Hopefully they'll get occupied quickly enough. Another tiny step forward for the area. Can't find the link to any planning application though.

Hopefully another set of derelict buildings that visitors walking up to the cathedral will never see again.

More than a small step BB this together with the derelict Big Issue block on the other side and the scruffy car park site further down are the three big eyesore sites left in Ropewalks.

This thread is for the conversion of the terrace of Georgian townhouses at 151-155 Duke Street into 21 aparthotel rooms, with restaurant/cafe use at ground floor and basement levels. The plans also call for a single storey upwards extension across the terrace. The plans are being brought forward by Epic Liverpool, who already successfully run the Epic Aparthotel further down Duke Street. The architect is NC Architecture.

Planning Application
Application Number - 17F/1226
Site Address - 151-155 Duke Street Liverpool L1 4JR
Proposal - To carry out internal and external alterations in connection with the change of use of vacant buildings at 151-155 Duke Street into an aparthotel (Class C1) consisting of 21 apartments, including use of basement/ground floor of nos. 153-155 for A3 Use (Restaurant and Cafe).
Applicant - Epic Liverpool Limited
From here - http://northgate.liverpool.gov.uk/P...ins/Liverpool_WIP/Menus/PL.xml&DAURI=PLANNING

The application was approved on 17th October 2017.

Site Progress
- By 28th September 2017, hoardings had been erected around the site
- Afterwards, things went a little quiet, but as seen in this photo from 24th November, scaffolding was being put into place, so it looks like we're underway
Thanks to Liverpool1207 for the above photos.

I've always liked those art panel things covering the windows. I assume they're just being binned(?)

Me too! They might make an interesting feature around Great George Square - just for the meantime
Great to see life being brought into these buildings. If I’m not mistaken many have been vacant for decades ?

King's back on site today erecting more scaffolding
Not been into the city centre in the daytime for a few weeks, know the scaffolding has been up for a while, but just wondering if anyone knows if they have been working on it recently?
