Northbridge is regarded as Perth's entertainment and cultural precinct.
The first set of shots takes us to William Street.

Towards the northern end, you see more Asian businesses.

Can someone please tell me is Northbridge expensive to live in, as in real-estate prices and rent and is it a desirable area at that? I know that it has gentrified but how much, I don't know?

I live in Northbridge.

It has largely been gentrified... but even the new apartments can still go for about 380/400k up to 800k (depending on location/bedrooms etc) - stand alone houses... I think could go for more. (unsure on that)

The area is full of historical/older type homes (still tucked away in the side streets), loads of apartments popping up, couple of gay bars, strip bars, hipster retailers (for lack of a better description), cafes, restaurants - some are open either 24 hours or up to 4am. Love living in it!

This thread makes me want pork belly from that strange little faux Chinatown area. What was that restaurant on Chung Wah Lane called?

Is there a club/community centre of some sort near the church? The Perth Greek community pre-dates WWII and afaik Northbridge and North Perth were their main areas of settlement. They are spread throughout the city now and very much integrated, in fact a recent governor of WA is of Greek descent. There's a private college (St Andrew's Grammar) in Dianella on a street called Hellenic Drive and there's also a square in Northbridge called Plateia Hellas.

Cool, thanks. I did actually go to google streetview and that building appeared. Looks very 70s and quite large, I like it tho.
