What's your favorite bridge? Tell us where it is and post a picture if possible.

// EDITED: sorry about the double post :angel1:
My favourite bridge is Tower Bridge, London. It may be small in comparison with modern bridges, but it's a classic design:)

i love the beauty of bridges, but there are two that rise slightly above the rest. The Mackinac Bridge in Michigan is a sentimental favorite and The Firth of Forth Bridge in Britain is just the most wonderfully amazing structure i have seen, i would absolutely love to see it in person someday.

The Mackinac Bridge:
Total Length of Bridge - 26,372 Ft. (~5 miles)
Length of Suspension Bridge - 8,614 Ft.
Length of Main Span - 3,800 Ft.

this bridge connects the lower and upper peninsulas of michigan. it stretches roughly 5 miles across the straights of mackinac where the waters of lake michigan and lake huron meet. this bridge is my sentimental favorite because my famile vacations every summer up in mackinac and this was the first long span bridge i ever saw. the beauty and length of this bridge have always awed me. and the fact that it is on the great lakes is another reason i love it; the great lakes are my absolute most favorite bodies of water on earth and this mighty bridge stands tall as the longest span in the great lakes region.

The Firth of Forth Bridge:
length - 8,276 feet

this bridge just looks cool. i have never seen any bridge anywhere else that appears to use as much steel as this bridge does. it looks as if it's possibly the most overbuilt structure anywhere. it looks so strong and massive, qualities i greatly admire. a very unique and beautiful bridge design, definitely one of a kind.

I can't decide on a favourite, but in addition to the classics (GG, Tower) here are some other great bridges that haven't been listed:

Ambassador Bridge (1,850 feet main span)

Confederation Bridge (13km total)

Pont de Quebec (1800 feet)

The same as _tictac_ ! I just love the Great Belt bridge ! :)
Biscay Transporter Bridge (Bilbao)

is the older Transporter Bridge in the world:
