Fergus is another of Ontario's stone towns. It is located twenty minutes north of Guelph along the Grand River. The town was
founded in the 1830's by Scottish settlers who constructed many fine 19th century stone buildings. Today the town is known
for the large Highland Games Festival held each summer.

Another beautiful old stone-town! Do you ever notice many towns along the Grand River are all stone-towns? That's interesting.

Hi from Brazil...

I was in Fergus in 1999. I went to Canada then to visit a Canadian friend in Guelph. It~s really great to see it here on SSC. Good memories come to my mind seeing these pictures... I never forget that awesome visit I paid to this beautiful country... Miss you Canada.
