All Congolese cities need something like this as we;;. Governors need to do their jobs to beautify cities with Urban Parks. it doesn't cost too much nor consume too much time.

Good idea for a thread, FIKIN is known country wide.

things have changed slightly since that thread was created so it's even easier to post pictures. If it's from your own collection, open up an account with phtobucket (there are other ways also)

Thanks Preme. Maybe you didn’t understand what I meant. What I meant is, I have pictures on my hand, but I don’t know how to transfer it to my computer then post it here. I tried to scan it but didn’t look good, check these pictures I posted its look terrible the one I have its really good qualities

Thanks Mulopwe, I know what you are talking about, when I figure out how to posted good qualities pictures I will post the one you ask. I was in FiKin every single day from 72 to 85, so I know everything happened between.

You are talking about Kuluna; did you know they sell some apart of FiKin? As we are speaking they are building houses inside FiKin, when there are free lands in Nsele, Kimwenza or Kimbanseke. This people destructing everything they found in Kin, it is sad. That why you see some of us (Kinois) are really angry against this tribal regime. People who come in Kinshasa in 1997, they know nothing about Kin, they found it normal, but for us it just unacceptable because we know. Mobutu have to wake up to find how this people are destructing the things he built.

Foire de Kinshasa is another area that needs to be "reclaimed" by beautification in order to bring it back like in its glory days

It would do some good if the likes of Ngaliema, Selembao, Lemba, Kimbanseke etc get Public parks as well. In facts every Commune needs at least 1 Park each.

The park we used to have in Kinshasa they are keep selling it, did you hear they are building houses in Bandalungwa? Cite Kanambe really? That place we used to go there to play, I hear they even sell Pakandjuma. Some people are just happy to see tribal people building houses in Kin but they don’t know the places they doing it what mean to the Kinois. Mawa trop

THESE KINOIS MUST GO BACK TO BAS-ZAIRE. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO IN THE MODERN CAPITAL CITY.

It's you that's going "tribal" on this one. KIN EZA YA MOTO NIOSO. Peut etre ba vrai natif comme le Teke, etc... can say something, but the rest of us biso tout TOWUTA quelque part

You need to learn something about Kinhasa, Kin is inside Kongo Central and Bandundu; some actual communes were KC before Mobutu come to power So, you cannot separate Kin, BDD and KC. For info Kin used to be their Carrefour before even Belgian come to Congo.

This statement tells me you don’t know Kinshasa, a Kinois won’t say something like that. Kinshasa is not just Teke land but, Humbu, Mboma, Tundi etc… there are many tribes every Kinois know this, but people who just come in Kin do not know this. They only know what Mobutu teach them

Not everyone are Mowuta, I am not mowuta I was born there. If you are mowuta it is you but not everyone is. And where did I say Kin is just for us (Kinois) I just criticizing the way they keep destroying my home. Since I came back from Kin what I saw and heard I just can’t overlook it. As Bababaswe (even though I don’t like him) said next secession will start in Kinshasa. And Bakata-Katanga could not come quick.

I don’t get this, we used to call Mobutu regime tribal but, today if you say the same thing about this regime some people go offensive, why?
