Can't remember where I read that ... but there are supposed to be a few more back to back hot days during this month and the next month.

been doing that for the past few years
is it really hot in BD now? Dang...I will be going in July. Everyone's been telling me it will be like hell.
No Tmac don't worry, July isn't that bad. The hottest month in BD is usually april and may. By the time July comes along the monsoon cools things down quite a bit.
Weather here in the Carolinas is quite glorious this time of year. Today was high of 72 F, sunny, with a nice a breeze. Yesterday we had a get-together for the local Bangladeshi community at our house and an informal Badminton tournament:

Are there air-conditioners in Bangladesh for houses?

Really depends. Pretty much all higher income residences have air conditioners and many middle income residences do as well. The lower income group however cannot, and understandably so, afford it.
38 C is nothing. it's get real bad only when it crosses 45 C.
Good sarcasm gohorns
Well, the biggest problem is not the heat, its the humidity.

40 C is really hot, in here, Qatar, you'll be a fried chicken for just spending 15min outside.

But south Asia is not Qatar. For 2 months during summer (April end to June end), temperature hovers above 40C in north India. I don't know what happens in Bangladesh.
here in South india (chennai)....the temperature has been a consistent 42+ over the past week.......getting my ass fried around here........!!!!:bash:
