you're right. tourism is so underdeveloped in nigeria.
It presents great opportunities for visionaries or risk takers. They will be the next Donald Trumps of the world if they venture into the real estate, hospitality industry right here which has tremendous potential!

I wonder why the Elumelus, Otedolas, Ibetos, Ovias, and all the other Millionaires, Billionaires in Nigeria don't see this?

I need to go form an investment group of my own because Nigeria has too much potential everywhere.

I must be the next Donald Trump! LOL!!! Although my focus will be more environmentally sustainable unlike bighead, loud mouth Trump.

Yep, I agree. Hopefully, some of this will happen in our lifetime. There is indeed all kinds of money spinners all over the place in the country.

Something like this would be a good start. This area could be built up for a lifestyle vacay spot for Nigerians and the rest of the sub-region. Talk about a money spinner!

@1WindyCity, the above pic is nice. You can make the move for something like that to be built in ibeno as you suggested by talking to Exxon Mobil. They practical own the beach as their Terminal is just beside the beach.

@Bobby4090, we have these underdeveloped beaches all over the south-west, south-south, around Nigeria, the focus for developers right now, I guess is just developing residential homes, but the future as we all can see is bright for this type of "lifestyle" developments. It just requires people with vision and the financial muscle to get this type of project done. If done properly, the value chain is unlimited, from hospitality jobs, entertainers, restaurants, sports, tax revenues from vacationers, etc, etc down to the farmers producing products that will be served in these types of establishments??? Mehnnnnnnnnn, the POTENTIAL is unlimited!!! I wish I had the connections to pull it off.......Boy it would be mad fun!!! It would be like Ibiza.

THIS GREEN AND BLISSFUL LAND.

THE SHORELINE FISHING VILLAGE OF QWA IBO

In many ways, it is sad that many Nigerians still erroneously look at Lagos as being the real Nigeria.......but THIS, this corner of Akwa Ibom IS THE REAL NIGERIA......The FUTURE Nigeria.

Even in this blissful remote corner of Akwa Ibom, a closer inspection reveals nicely tarred roads......all the way.

What an uncommon transformation indeed.

If you say this corner of Akwa Ibom is the "Real Nigeria", then aren't making the same erroneous attribution those calling Lagos the "real Nigeria" are making now?
I think every corner of Nigeria is REAL and has something to contribute to our future.
I know what you mean with the Lagos thingy though.

well, he said Nigerians, not foreigners.
Lagos is real Naija, Akwa Ibom is real Naija, Kano is real Naija. other parts like that beautiful corner of Akwa Ibom can as well influence world views if they are properly marketed.
